An Ensemble of Little Towers in Peckham

The pockets of undeveloped and isolated land around the station are seen as potential sites for a fragmented proposal. The scheme enjoys the dislocation of individual elements, that by their height are perceived as a grouping on the skyline. The timber towers each have their own particular form and programme, but are given a uniformity by their materiality, facade treatment, and construction.

Emerging technology allows for a timber frame construction to be used for the eight storey towers. This and the use of prefabricated timber cladding makes the system very economical for the restricted sites.
