Market Hall

The market hall is an expanse of slim, tall timber columns on a rhomboidal grid. The regularity of columns is interrupted occasionally by site or programme conditions. The roof is a lightweight skylit timber construction which brings north light into the space and allows consistent views towards the tower of the Tate.
