Peckham Cultural Centre, The shift between the edges

The essence of this project evolved through compositional studies of Paul Klee’s Watercolour painting. The overlap ideas in the painting lead to an urban room strategy to connect parts of the city. The ensemble forms around a series of three urban rooms which link the back lands of Peckham to the lifeline of Rye lane.

The ensemble will reinvent the heart of Peckham, bringing together layers of cultural activity that form around a central public courtyard. A bridge, links the making, learning, viewing spaces and animates the courtyard.
