cinema extension tower

The parking building, stands on the north east side of the station and includes Peckham multiplex cinema in its ground floor, actually lost its role since other big markets provided free spaces. Although the cinema has a well proportioned front yard opened to Rye Lane, the size of cinema and the attraction of parking building are not enough to activate its front yard. In this respect, an idea of extension using existing staircase and lifts is suggested. A new concrete podium volume, high as the parking building, is attached to the existing building and a timber tower is laid on the podium. The program of the new tower includes multimedia shop, bar, restaurant etc. so as to be a fluorescent signage of the night in corporate with the existing building
